Trinity UCC has long understood the power of storytelling as a tool for liberation, healing, and social transformation. It is particularly meaningful to witness the next generation take up this mantle through the medium of film. Eli’s project promises to explore complex themes surrounding masculinity and emotion – topics that deeply resonate with our church’s commitment to addressing the full spectrum of human experience through a faith-based, Afrocentric lens.
As a congregation that celebrates Black excellence and nurtures the gifts of our young people, we stand in solidarity with Eli as he undertakes this significant creative endeavor. His work behind the camera represents the kind of thoughtful, purpose-driven artistry that Trinity UCC has always encouraged in our youth.
We invite our church family to keep Eli and his film crew in prayer as they complete this project. This production exemplifies our commitment to supporting young Black artists who use their talents to tell stories that matter.
Trinity United Church of Christ continues to be a place where faith, arts, and social consciousness intersect. We look forward to seeing how God will use Eli’s gifts to impact our culture and community through this powerful medium of film.
Stay tuned for updates on “Sadness of Men” and join us in celebrating this milestone in Eli’s creative journey.
